Common Conditions Treated:

Ear Infections

An ear infection is usually caused by bacteria or viruses in the middle ear.

Balance Disorders

A balance disorder is a condition that makes you feel unsteady or dizzy.

Hearing Disorders

Hearing loss affects people of all ages and can result from various factors. The three basic categories of hearing loss are:

  • Sensorineural hearing loss

  • Conductive hearing loss

  • Mixed hearing loss

Perforated Eardrum

Eardrum repair is a surgical procedure used to fix a hole or tear in the eardrum (tympanic membrane).

Glue Ear

Glue ear, also known as otitis media with effusion, is a condition where fluid builds up inside the middle ear and becomes thick and sticky. It is common in young children and often follows a cold or ear infection.

Grommets

A grommet is a tiny tube inserted into the eardrum to allow air to enter the middle ear. Grommets can treat glue ear and recurrent middle ear infections.

Tinnitus

Tinnitus is the perception of sound without an external source, often described as a ringing, roaring, or buzzing sound.

Blocked Ears and Wax Removal

Ear toileting is a minor procedure performed during a consultation to remove blockages, such as wax buildup, using a microscope and headlight.

Tumors

Most ear tumors, such as acoustic neuromas, are benign but can cause hearing loss and require treatment.

Injections

Intratympanic steroid injections are used to treat cochleovestibular symptoms of inner ear diseases, such as Meniere's disease or idiopathic sudden sensorineural hearing loss.
